‘Humbug has been Canberra’s premier Celtic band for a number of years. With 6 popular albums and performances at most of Australia’s top folk festivals behind it, the band’s soaring vocal harmonies and extensive and varied repertoire have made it a favourite among lovers of Celtic music.

Wallabindi

Wallabindi is an award winning First Nations (Noongar, Yamatji) and Myanmar artist hailing from the shores of Boorloo, Western Australia. She is a proud mother, singer-songwriter, visual artist, educator and member of the TEDx Canberra alumni.
A constantly evolving presence on the music and arts scene, she has called Ngunnawal Country home for over 20 years. She has performed alongside many artists including Casey Donovan, Busby Marou, Bumpy, Icehouse, Dan Sultan, Joe Camilleri, Frente and Coloured Stone.
Her debut EP ‘Wallabindi Dreaming’ won the MusicACT Independent Debut of 2023. This original music explored the Stolen Generations in her family, matriarchy, reconciliation, parts of our shared history through her own eyes and heart. Copies will be available for purchase on the night.
Fresh from a series of successful festival performances including Cobargo, Giiyong and Majors Creek, Wallabindi and her phenomenal band - co-writer Richard Gorter (guitar), John Coates (bass) and Jonathan Jones (percussion) warmly invite you into what will be a special evening of truth telling, yarns, story and soul stirring music – singalongs will be encouraged!
